Apr 7, 2007 - At Sea, on the Way to Cape Town

We didn't go to dancing lessons this morning after Mah Jongg and bridge because the ship is still swaying. After lunch, we worked on our pictures and diary. Then Bob snoozed and Gretchen went on deck to read. It is getting a bit cooler, but it was just perfect outdoors. Gretchen loved watching the rough sea while enjoying a good book and a cup of tea on deck late in the afternoon. Apr 15, 2006 - Made it to Cape Town

As you guessed I have now reached Cape Town which has way too many things to cram into the 5 days that I have here, but I'll try. I'm still travelling with some of the people from the safari which is great because I'm going to miss them so much when I leave. Luckily two of them live in Canada so hopefully I'll have a chance in the future to visit them, and vise versa. We tried to climb Table Mountain today but it closed down due to high winds, then we tried to go to Robben Island (where they held Nelson Mandela in Prison) but all the boats...

Apr 3, 2006 - horses who have gone wrong

After a day of intoxicating animal viewing, we headed off to Mountain Zebra National Park, about a 240 kilometer drive. We only passed through one significant town and had been warned that the RV group had suffered a theft when parked at the grocery store there last year, so we only stopped for gas. Although the people there appeared poor, they were buzzing around living their lives and did not appear ominous to us at all. The gas attendant cleaned our windshield within an inch of its life and galloped out to us as we pulled away to return...
