Feb 4, 2011 - Singapore To Kuala Lumpur
We check out of the hotel at midday & take a taxi back to the bus depot to catch our 2.30 bus. The journey takes 5-6 hrs so we were pleased to find that our bus was really quite luxurious with A/C & electric reclining seats, it really was most comfortable, a world away from National Express coaches. We had to stop at the causeway between Singapore & Malaysia to go through Immigration & Customs formalities on both sides but all went smoothly. The roads were all good & we sailed along with just one refreshment stop on the way. It was dark by...

Jun 29, 2009 - Wednesday 29th June
Got off to a bit of a rocky start by having our shampoo, conditioner and Jens moisturizer all confiscated for being in too larger containers and then by me leaving the backpack on the x-ray machine! Other than that the flight went fine. We knew of a couple of others that were on the flight to Singapore (Brodie and Ben) so once landed in Singapore caught up with them for a beer along with another bloke that started chatting to me who was sitting in front of me. Wouldn’t believe it but his name was Shane Williams also! Anyway after a few...

Feb 28, 2009 - Singapore
Singapore Sling Time Wednesday 18th February 2009 Well, we have managed to get packed up at 6/12 Orchard Brae Avenue – and it took longer that anticipated – we both thought that we would have a relaxing morning – but not so – the car only went into the garage at 12.30pm and so rather than lunch being a 12 till 2 affair it was a 1.30 to 2.15 – bottle of wine and two quick meals. However, we did carry the luggage into town – well, Neil carried and Carolyn dragged hers on its wheels – So at least we know that we can lift our luggage and if...

Sep 20, 2008 - Arrive in Singapore
Well we have arrived all ok at 8am are both a bit tired as we didn't sleep much but we did watch a lot of films. Think that we are going to have an easy day today and have a nap at some point so that can stay up till a normal time. Note from Alice: Justin forgot to mention that I had trouble with my stupid passport again because the guy on the desk didn't think it looked like me! I had to answer questions about things in the passport and sign a bit of paper. I don't think it's THAT different - and I've got another 5 years on it!!! In the...

Sep 15, 2008 - Por fin llegamos
Besos. Chini y Sergio

May 24, 2008 - Melbourne to Singapore
Depart Melbourne 1015, catch airport bus out to the plane as there was no gateway available or some problem. Not the A380 this time around. Easy travelling nine ten hour flight. Cross over Australian continent interesting varied landscape patterns of nature. Started watching 'There Will Be Blood' that oil film set in the west with Daniel Day Lewis - think it one an Oscar. Didn't watch all of it, flicking between that and some other Chinese martial arts film set in the Mongolian desert. Spoke to girl besdie me, young dental student who was...

Hi all, Well we made it to Sinapore last eve. What a journey! Twenty two hours fly time. Amazing service, as usual, with Sinapore Airlines. We stayed at a really nice hotel across from the ocean and numerous boardwalks. We are now at Changi International Airport awaiting our next leg to Siem Reap. We should be arriving in Siem Reap at about 5:00pm this aft. Talk about shopping extraordinaire at...
