Slept in a bit for us-this was our Day of Rest. We walked around Sesimbra, a beach/fishing village that seems to be a popular vacation/weekend destination for the Portuguese, especially those in the Lisbon area, because it's only an hour outside of the city. Checked out their marina, hung out at a beach cafe for a bit, then found a great lunch at a contempo cafe that has two bowling lanes and the feel of a Euro discoteka. Sep 21, 2010 - Last leg...

From Coimbra to Conimbriga to Fatima to Batalha to Alcobaca to Nazare to Obidos to Sesimbra....OMG Jeezum crow...up at 6am today! We needed to hit the road early - full day ahead. I noted on the prior entry that we have five stops today - it's actually six, plus landing in the seventh - and we are finally admitting this trip was jam-packed even for us. We needed to get from Coimbra to Sesimbra, which was our stop for the night. And there just happened to be 'several' points of interest along the way - and we have decided to go for it! First...
