Aug 15, 2010 - The beaches and Cascais

Yesterday morning, we decided to make it a "beach day". The first thing we happened upon was a market practically at the end of our drive. We stopped for fruit and bread and then were on our way. We were wishing we had a full kitchen and Chris and Suzy or Judith along to cook for us!! After our market stop, we headed off on the 247 toward Cabo da Roca as our first stop. Cabo da Roca is the western most point of mainland Europe. There is a large lighthouse there along with the usual tourist trappings. What is most impressive is the cliffs...
