by Lora When I visited the Philippines as a child; my aunt and uncle's banana plantation was one of my fondest memories. I knew that I wanted Chris to also experience it, so I was excited to see it included on my family's very detailed itinerary prepared for us :) ! Nov 1, 2008 - Kapalong - All Saint's Day

by Lora We read in our guidebook that All Saint's Day is a time to gather with family, to remember those whom have passed away. However, it's not really a time of mourning, as much as it is a time of celebration. Families gather together to eat, talk, and laugh. Family members were telling us that sometimes families will spend all night, until the following morning, at the cemetary; supplied with lots of food for everyone.
