Mar 25, 2011 - Day 20 - Return to SM Robinson Mall - Cavite City
This morning was a late start for me after a difficult sleep last night. Once I was up and showered, shaved and brushed my teeth. We were off to the SM Robinson Mall in Cavite City. We use a tricycle [P 50 or $1.13 Cdn] first to take us to the mini bus. The mini bus [P 20 or $0.45 CDN] to get to the mall. I had an aisle seat this trip so I could leave my knees in the aisle until somebody wanted by. The mall was packed solid. They were holding auditions for Philippine Idol, Cavite City in the center court. They started at 4 PM. We rented a...Jump to full entry
Mar 24, 2011 - Day 19 - Laundry Day & Sunburn lol.
This morning started when Irma woke me up at 7 AM. Apparently Joann was there to start our laundry. Irma wanted the clothes I had worn from the previous day for Joann to wash. I told her where the were and rolled over and went back to sleep. hahaha I finally opened my eyes at approximately 9:30 AM. Got up, showered, shaved and had some cereal for breakfast. The rest of the day was quiet, as we recovered from the trip to Tagaytay yesterday. Irma noticed that my face and arms were beat red from sunburn I must have got from yesterday. Lucky I...Jump to full entry

Alan showed up at out place about 6:45 AM. We loaded the car and was off to Tagaytay by 7 AM. Traffic was very heavy and very slow moving. We got to Tagaytay lookout point about 9:30 AM. Took a few picture and I bought a tour package [P 4000 or $91.00 CDN] to see the Taal Volcano. It is apparently still active and if you look into the crater you can see the bubbles in the lake that has formed in the crater. It took about 30 minutes to travel to the boat docks. The tour guide directed Alan how to get to their docks. It was a down hill trip...Jump to full entry

Today started off a normal day.... Joann came over about 10:30 AM to watch Jimmie as Irma got ready to go into the mall today. We are suppose to meet JR's [from Winnipeg] Sister. She has some things for JR that she would like me to bring back to Winnipeg with me, instead of shipping the items. While at the mall, we are also going to meet Lorne, the owner of the house that we have rented. Irma has advised me that Lorne will be coming back to the house with us tonight and also travelling tomorrow with us to Tagaytay. Joann went and got a...Jump to full entry
Mar 20, 2011 - Day 15 - The Lords Day....
Today Irma asked Joann to babysit Jimmie while we went to Church. To get there we had to take a tricycle and a mini bus. On the way home we got a full size bus and a tricycle. Sacrament meeting was half English and half Tagalog. The songs were sung in English. I could understand the first speaker talking about missionary work and I think the second speaker was talking about temples. But not 100 percent sure. After Church a quiet day was spent at home..... trying to occupy Jimmie.Jump to full entry
Mar 19, 2011 - Day 14 - On my own travelling to SM Robinson Mall
Today started off quietly.... When I woke up at 9:30 AM the house was quiet. Irma and Jimmie were no where to be seen. So I jumped into the shower. While in the shower I heard Irma and Jimmie come home. Apparently Irma thinks Jimmie has the measles on his face and body and took him to the local medical clinic for a check up. But they were closed until between 6 and 8 PM tonight. A few minutes getting out of the shower.... I had a coughing spell and had an accident! I suddenly developed a bout of the diarrhea, which wasn't that great! Lucky...Jump to full entry

Sunday and Monday were just spent around home playing with the children. On Monday afternoon Irma received a text message warning about the radiation cloud coming towards the Philippines from the Japan explosion and should arrive about 4 PM our time. So Irma got the kids ready to take them back home because they have school in the morning also. Apparently she has to use a tricycle, a mini bus, a jeepney and another tricycle to get to her home from here..... That is quite a distance. I received an email later in the evening saying they had...Jump to full entry

After shopping was completed, costing approximately P 2,150. We got another tricycle to return home in.Jump to full entry
