Hey everyone! We just wanted you all to know we made it here to Pucallpa, Peru safe and sound! We had a great time in Costa Rica, and were so blessed to have Lauren's dad join us the last few days we were there. We are all excited to be here in Peru! Aug 21, 2006 - Mit "Henry 5." Flussabwaerts

Pucallpa In Pucallpa nehme ich ein Frachtboot den Rio abwaerts. Das Ziel ist Iquitos. Nur kann mir leider keiner sagen wie lange die Reise dauern soll, so ungefaehr 3 - 8 Tage. Ausser vielleicht 250 Leuten haben wir alles moegliche zum Transport auf dem Boot: Huehner, Schweine, Schildkroeten, Papageien, Zement, Motorraeder, einen Bus etc. Tagsueber doese ich in der Haengematte und verbringe die Zeit mit lesen. Abwechslung gibt es nur, wenn wir an kleinen Doerfern halten um noch mehr Leute aufzunehmen die noch mehr Schweine und Huehner und...

One of the friends I made in Lima, Marita is from Pucallpa and her family still lives there, she was going home aswell so I decided to tag along. Pucallpa a bustling city in the Amazon Jungle. They have everything there even a bustling nightlife. I spent 2 days in Pucallpa and went to a discotek aswell stayed with Marita's family. Pucallpa was alright, very very hot and humid.
