During our lunch stop our Peruvian guide pointed out the peak used for the Paramount Pictures logo and almost en queue an avalanche roared past not even half a kilometre from where we were sitting! A monstrous 36 hour bus ride spanning two nights brought us to the Inca Capital of Cusco. ... We were lucky enough to be there on two Sundays and the main Plaza de Armas was filled with parading artists, cadets and floats while gigantic Peru and Cusco flags billowed overhead. ...
