Jun 27, 2012 - Bilen er pakket !

I morgen tidlig klokken 07:00 setter vi oss i bilen for å kjøre til Norderstedt rett nord for Hamburg. Avstanden er ca 845 km, så det er greit å starte tidlig. Hilde og Rune kjører egen bil ned til Skee utenfor Strømstad. Der skal A3`n få en etterlengtet service mens eierne er på ferie.

I spent four nights camped outside Bergen in the end. In fact I had intended to have a couple of days off having caught my flight OK, but constant rain delayed me longer than I wanted. There were plenty of things to do there though: I visited the Hanseatic Museum, checked out a steam railway and did the art museum, which had several Munchs (though none of the versions of The Scream) and a vast amount of work by J.C.C. Jun 27, 2008 - We Are Rollin' ... in our Volvo!

The Volvo driver showed up at the hotel at 8:15 am with a sign that read “Verbanszky”. We were already waiting for him in the lobby for a while since we were both excited for this part of our journey. Unlike our first driver, Hans was a lot more talkative. With his Ray-Ban glasses and graying muttonchops, the 50-something year-old chatted to us about Sweden, his upcoming “holiday” (most people travel in the month of July we discovered), and his son and daughter-in-law living in the Northern most part of Sweden where his son drills for oil....
