Aug 5, 2008 - Tortuguero National Park

Got on a boat to got to Tortuguero today!! It poured rain like I have never seen before!!! And Manjit and I were at the front of the boat with NO PROTECTION save a little poncho screen that we tried to make. We got SOAKED! I have never been wetter outside of a swimming!! We saw some cool things on the water, but since it was raining sooo much, not a whole lot. Tortuguero is small but kinda neat. Our hotel here was pretty dodgy again, but now Manjit and I are pros! Mar 25, 2008 - Tortuguero National Park

The village of Tortuguero adjoins the national park of the same name. It's really cozy because there are no cars or vehicles of any kind on the streets (aside from bikes, maybe). We stayed at a funky hotel called Miss Junie's, where we had a group dinner. Tom and John went off to look for the best local watering hole and Tom played some pool. Feb 24, 2008 - Tortuguero National Park

hi everyone, not sure where all the keyboard characters are here. everything in spanish and it took me 40 min. to get to this site so hope this works. no photosa to add yet. Day 4 very long boat ride in the canal from limon to tortuegera which means turtle. it is not nesting season yet though. up since 6am for bus ride at 7 to boat at 930 and arrived at 4. poured rain part of the way - open boat so......not bad tho.
