Welcome back to the old journal. Its been about 4 days now since the last post so we got a lot to talk about. We left it with the white water rafting, where we were just about to leave for it. We were picked up at I-Site where we met our bus driver, Scott. We then had to go and pick a group of Polish people up before we left to the W.W.R den. We all got suited and booted up, into a jumper, life jacket and water boots and got a lift down to the river. Mar 16, 2009 - Over to Stratford to meet the Great Aunties!
Today we headed over to Stratford as we are meeting some of my rellies a bit later on today, but before we left we swung by a panel beaters to see if they could squeeze us in. They couldn't but the guy estimated the cost would be around $350....which we wasn't expecting but what can you do!! Aaaaaaanyway we managed to find one in Stratford who could actually do it there and then! so we went for a wander around for an hour and when we got back it was looking as good as new! the only thing is you can see where the paint is slightly different...Jump to full entry

Sylvia’s Comments. After breakfast we went to say good-bye to our fellow campers before setting off ourselves. It was an overcast day and we decided to visit the local museum which some people, over the weekend, had recommended to us. It sits in the main street opposite the 56 foot concrete replica of Aotea waka (canoe) to commemorate the arrival of Polynesian migrants to the area in the 14 centaury. The museum did not look very big and on entering we were met by a very friendly member of staff who gave us an introduction to the area of...Jump to full entry
