Nov 24, 2014 - Four nights at sea headed to NZ

Yesterday was Monday on the Tasman sea and Fijordland National Park New Zealand. We spent all day as a ship crusing three sounds. It resembled Glacier Bay National Park quite a bit and was lovely This morning we landed at Port Chalmers in the southern tip of NZ. The nice folks here provided free wifi for those coming off the ship. We will take a 25 minute bus ride in to DundeinNZ Current temp is 53 and overcast. Feb 20, 2010 - Port Chalmers (for Dunedin)

We dock in Port Chalmers for Dunedin, which is easily as picturesque if not more as Lyttelton was yesterday. Lots of hills surround the bay, which is full of tiny islands, and the sky is bluer than you can imagine. We had an early sail here today, so made the most of the day by going ashore as soon as clinic finished – I was pleased to find that no-one really wanted to tag along as I just fancied having a day pleasing myself and exploring. May 10, 2008 - Outside of Port Chalmers

Stayed at Billy Browns (get this - owned by a guy named Billy Brown) Absolutely fantastic place - half way up a hill on a small working sheep farm. Views out to the heads and into the harbour. Really cool little place. No tv, no phone, no computers but they had a working record player and records to play!! omigod, it was a flash to the past and it was awesome - I had the place to myself on the first night and then an ex-hopewell tourist showed up. ah well.
