After a night of good sleep (and getting some highly needed laundry done as well) we walked to the Christchurch Arts Centre Market to send a couple of hours. We left Christchurch for the short drive to Akaroa on the Eastern Banks Penninsula. ... La péninsule de Banks, qui est le résultat de deux grandes éruptions volcaniques, est une superbe région avec plusieurs baies et de magnifiques collines vertes. Le chemin que nous avons emprunté pour se rendre à Akaroa, la ville la plus importante de la péninsule, était vraiment superbe! Le chemin était très sinueux avec plusieurs montées ce qui nous permettait d’avoir plusieurs excellents points de vue. ... Arrivé là-bas, nous avons installé notre camper, puis nous nous sommes dirigés pour découvrir le centre-ville (si on peut l’appeler ainsi car c’est tellement petit!).La péninsule de Banks, qui est le résultat de deux grandes éruptions volcaniques, est une superbe région avec plusieurs baies et de magnifiques collines vertes. Our new destination is the Banks Peninsular to the south of Christchurch, and Akaroa which is the main tourist destination of the area. ...
