It was a crisp and clear morning as Isabella finally set sail from Grenada last Saturday. Cap'n Max was very excited. But his bleary-eyed crew was still confused by all the nautical lingo. 'The wind is perfect - let's gybe" said Cap'n Max. 'Good idea' said crewman Phil. ""Ï'll put a Chuck Berry CD on". Cap'n Max just shook his. May 9, 2003 - Bonaire, Netherland Antilles

Michelle took me to Bonaire for my birthday. She was looking for a windsurfing spot that would be OK at this time of the year. It was excellent. There is a bay on the windward side of the island, or perhaps a lagoon. It allows to strong wind to flow through perfectly, yet affords nice flat water to play on it. Waves on the outside. Windsurfers are the minority of the few tourists here (by no means is the place flooded by tourists, at least not in May), most are here to SCUBA dive.
