Nov 22, 2012 - Endlich Etosha

Heute sind wir gegen Mittag endlich im Etosha Nationalpark gewesen. Auf dem Weg zu unserem Campingplatz haben wir schon Giraffen, Zebras, Gnus, Antilopen und andere Tiere gesehen. Nachdem wir unsere Zelte aufgebau hatten, sind wir nochmal zu Tiere gucken rausgefahren und haben unsere ersten Loewen gesehen. Die waren ca. 70m von unserem Bus weg und haben ganz in Ruhe ihr Gnu zu Abend gegessen. :)

Deike in Afrika 2012

May 2, 2012 - And onto the Etosha National Park

We set off quite early – the other overland truck still there. We are on our way to the Etosha National Park. As soon as we enter we see our first herds of Zebra and Giraffe – now the excitement begins to build. Anna gives us a talk about park etiquette – being quiet when viewing animals. They take no notice of the vehicles but scamper quickly when they hear or smell humans. We arrive at Okaukuejo, on the wester side of the park, and set up camp. This is tourism. Camper utes, cars and buses. David & I spend the rest period trying to update...
