We leave the Todra Gorge and head towards the Dades Valley along the ‘road of 1000 Kasbahs’. We visit a Kasbah (castle) at Skoura and climb to the top. This particular Kasbah appears on the 50 Dirham note. Many interesting artefacts, one being an old wooden door lock. We reach our destination of Ait Benhaddou in the late afternoon and complete our day with a walk through the old streets, a glass of mint tea with a friend of Atika in her home and then a climb to the top of the Fortress.
