In one word WOW. I can barely describe how wonderful this country is!! After 12 days at sea (which went way faster than I thought it would thanks to blue sky and sunshine) we arrived in the port city of Agadir. ... Agadir, about 350,000 residents, is a relatively new city in that it was almost completely destroyed in the 1960's due to an earthquake. ... So, finally arrived in Morocco late on new year's day. Staying in apartments in Taghazout, small village about 40 mins north of Agadir. ... Thought I was going to get up early today to go with them but it went flat so no-one went! We got a bus to Agadir instead where they have banks and internet cafes. ... There are some interesting animals around, kittens running around in the airport building, dogs in the streets (keep clear of them though), loads of goats wandering by the roadsides and up the hills and the odd donkey here or there.So, finally arrived in Morocco late on new year's day. Mar 7, 2005 - Much Ado About Agadir!
Here we are in Agadir and we had been here for the past 5 days already but had decided to stay another 3 days as its been so lovely being here! The first few days weren't sunny, as we'd hoped for but still wasn't bad as the rest of Europe being blanketed by heavy snow! Brrrr. ... definitively not our cup of tea! There isn't whole a lot to see in Agadir except for its finest strand of beach, which made it one of the hottest vacation spot in Morocco. ... don't bother checking Goulimine out, even if it is part of your package, as you would be better off lying on the beach at Agadir! We got to enjoy their beach every single day, as it was just absolutely perfect with temperature hovering just about 70 to 75 Fahrenheit with sunny disposition and cool breeze. ...
