Spent a few days recharging the batteries in UB with the guys from the Gobi trip. There were a few trips to the black market, best tackled as a team sport to try and avoid being pick-pocketed or stoned. It's a funny sort of place - always full of hustle and bustle and the odd fight or two. Managed to fend off a couple of amateur pick-pockets, with Polly pulling a classic move putting her hand into a guy's pocket who was hanging around us.
