So after a sunny and rainy day in Nice (btw, making it 5/5 in terms of rainy cities) we got all dressed up to go to Monaco because Monaco is a fancy place for fancy people and we had to fit in. ... We then continued our bus ride into Monaco. ... He said it had to be less than 20 Euro total since it was from his winnings so I picked out Monaco beer. ... Now since Monaco had only been good so far (no rain in the city of Monte Carlo, or the whole country of Monaco, only people to win in the Casino, etc) it only figures that this was pretty much the best beer ever. ... I also want to point out that Pat did not have any desire to even go to Monaco but it was one of my *must see* cities. ...

While staying in Nice I took a day out of town and visited Monaco (the second smallest country in the world). ... The first stop was Monaco, Monaco to see the changing of the guards at the palace and visit the oceanography museum. ... And the second stop was Monte Carlo, Monaco to see the casino and all the expensive shops. ... Monaco was a nice place to visit - a lot cleaner than France and very very well manicured. ...

Monaco photos are of the ridiculously rich and famous toys that some people own. ... We visited the Casino where I was desperately trying to turn my 10€ note into a 500€ note (that we had seen a few punters flaunting).Monaco photos are of the ridiculously rich and famous toys that some people own. ... Jul 8, 2007 - Sheik It Up - Monaco
Golfe Juan is located only a few miles East of Cannes (home of the self-congratulatory ego-fest known as the Cannes Film Festival), and about an hour's train ride from Monaco (the world's largest self-congratulatory ego-fest). ... Upon exiting the train station at Monaco and gazing out over the harbor, I first thought that perhaps some renegade cruise ship captain had backed stern-to the dock in among the yachts. ... I immediately left the casino, happy that my very brief gambling career in Monaco had ended in success. ... After ordering a fifteen Euro rum and Coke at the café outside, however, I realized that if I were to remain in Monaco any longer I would have to start playing at (and winning at) the thousand Euro table. ...

Good to get the adrenalin pumping on the motorway, watching Kieron negotiate traffic is a buzz and the landscape around the outskirts of Monaco haven't changed a bit to my recollection. ... A heat haze had hung over France since I had arrived this morning and the stillness and expectation seemed to hover everywhere but especially in the basin of Monaco proper. ... We did the loop de loop of Cap d ail, fontvielle and Monaco a couple of times before we located the run off to the Marriot - unloaded the bags and walked through the hillside under the castle into Monaco. ...

April 10 - Chateauneuf to San Remo We had to leave 'our castle' after only one night, but not before the staff called ahead and arranged our tour of Chateau Beaucastel, one of Louis' favorite wines. We caught our first glimpses of the Mediterranean from the freeway, and looked down on the roofs of towns in France and Monaco. ... Dec 23, 2006 - From San Remo to Santiago de Compostela
We lost a week at San Remo, we booked into a camping ground, found ourselves underneath gum trees on a completely hard site, right beside the Mediteranean. During the week we made two major excursions, one to Monaco and the second, following the lead of Queen Victoria and others to NICE (by train and bus). ... We left San Remo on 17 December, used the toll way mostly (expensive in France) to make up time - just enjoyed the trip - great scenery, lots of wine country, great road works, tunnels, viaducts so high to take ones breath away.We lost a week at San Remo, we booked into a camping ground, found ourselves underneath gum trees on a completely hard site, right beside the Mediteranean. Nov 28, 2006 - The Amazing French Riveria
The lure of warm weather and inexpensive air travel became too great a lure as dreary November weather settled into our British Midlands area. The wealth, luxury, and opulence is omnipresent whether viewing the array of exotic cars parked outside Monte Carlo, the yachts moored in Monaco's ports, or by exclusive villas hidden behind iron gates at every turn. ... Three separate coastal routes connect the bustling city of Nice to the glamorous miniscule Monaco. ... Oct 27, 2006 - Swanning about on the French Riviera
Headng off from Lyon Tanya and I made sure we were the first ones on the coach this time!! We travelled via Avignon where we stopped for lunch and I had a Nutella crepe for lunch, yum and so much more refined than just eating it straight out of the jar like I normally do! Heading into the French Riviera was great, so refined, expensive and oh so glamourous. We had only a little time to get all glammed up to head over to the exclusive and expensive principality of Monaco. ... Drove through the countryside, along the Grand Prix track, went to the casino where i doubled my one and only 25 Euro bet then heqded back into Nice for one of the best nights out I have had in ages.Headng off from Lyon Tanya and I made sure we were the first ones on the coach this time!!
