Nov 18, 2009 - Getting orientated
I spent a little time with a map, just trying to get orientated and it didn’t take long before I realized I was staying pretty much in the middle of things. Our first night in Puerto Vallarta seemed an endless walk between different sounds of Mexican music. ... I know now that I was in a dream like state, thinking this really was some kind of Mexican Disneyland designed to enhance my vacation experience.I spent a little time with a map, just trying to get orientated and it didn’t take long before I realized I was staying pretty much in the middle of things. Nov 17, 2009 - Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Mexico
Writing our trip journal as we made our way through South America was not only therapeutic and fun, but it cleared our fuzzy memories and enhanced them when we revisited our own site so many times we could not count. People often ask me what on earth I do for five months in a small place like Puerto Vallarta and I am usually at a loss to answer honestly. ... The truth is; I don’t know but it takes all day…….Writing our trip journal as we made our way through South America was not only therapeutic and fun, but it cleared our fuzzy memories and enhanced them when we revisited our own site so many times we could not count. Nov 17, 2009 - MEX: Ensenada

Little did I know that this place in this neighbourhood would shape my ever evolving impressions of Mexico and the tourist mecca of Puerto Vallarta in the years to come. ...

It is quite a bit different from Ajijic is you see way more Mexican's than Gringo's. ... They said that with all the Gringo's moving to Ajijic it has really raised the housing market even though at this time it has levelled out guess is because of the economy in the states because the American's are having a hard time selling their homes. ... Nov 15, 2009 - Trip down to La Paz (last journal entry)
This will be our last journal entry on this website. Upon seeing this we struggled getting the dinghy et al on board and hot footed it the remaining 27nm to La Paz where we secured a marina slip for 2 weeks. ... The first thing Gary did was remove all fluid from the outboard (lots of seawater found), cleaned, polished, rebuilt carburetor, put in new spark plugs, refilled the oil, gear case oil, etc then we kept our fingers crossed, looked to the heavens, and pulled the cord. This will be our last journal entry on this website.
