Aug 7, 2011 - Merida

I spent only one night in Palenque. I went to see the ruins there. My first Maya ruins. They were pretty cool. Currently I am staying at Nomadas Hostal, but they only have dorms available. Yuck! If I can}t get a single tomorrow I am moving. It is hot and humid in there. There are beds for 32 girls plus hammocks. I really am disgusted at that type of communal living at this point. Jun 29, 2011 - Merida

Jun 15, 2011 - Merida

Merida was incredibly hot when I was there so I decided to do one of the half day optionals that included swimming in something called a Cenotes. A Cenotes is basically like an underground cave with water which ended up being quite breathtaking and a great way to escape the heat :-). I have uploaded a few pictures here. The interesting thing about this particular optional was how we ended up getting to these three Cenotes. It started out with an everyday van ride to a remote town outside Merida which took the better part of an hour to get...

May 13, 2011 - Merida

Jan 17, 2011 - Merida

After a couple of boring days in Campeche we headed to Merida, capital of Yucatan. We arrived late afternoon and headed straight for our hostel where it turned out, once again, that our reservation had been lost (shaking fists at Hostelbookers.com). Luckily the owner was around and managed to find us a private single room with shared bathroom and give us a whopping discount because we had to share a single bed and a bathroom for a night. We ran into a couple of guys that had been on a few of the bus trips and at other hostels with us so...

Nov 13, 2010 - November Namaste

Wow. Interesting how I popped out these entries right at the start of my journey. Now that I am more adjusted to the culture shock and have finally settled down in my new house, things seem more natural and I am much more arrived so to say, in Mexico. Lets see. Basically there is so much shifting for me all the time, my health, ideas, spirituality, location, support... ect. that it becomes hard to know where to start. Coming back from Cancun has mainly been about finalizing the amazing house I am now occupying. Today I bought fabic to make...

Oct 27, 2010 - Cancun, Sickness

Hola hola, long time no writttyyy no? I am still currently in Cancun, was supposed to be here with my company for about 9 days for a dance festival, but things happened and my company left within 3 days of being here because the festival didn´t have enough money to support us. Well I am still here on this wednesday mainly because I have been pretty sick. Some freaking flu hit me on Sunday right before I was about to dance. Thank god I found ADVIL because I was able to acutally move my body for those 20 minutes of dancing, although honestly...

Oct 19, 2010 - Casita Nueva!

Hola del pais loco! I am sitting inside La Flor del Santiago. I feel a bit more centered after finally mediating, which I have not attempted to do really formally for 2 months now. ARG. And now I learn what happens when one is not FULLY FULLY connected to their own power and intuition. Basically all I will say is that I am officially starting a new chapter of my life. Bye bye old tempoarary house space,,, and welcome my amazing cute house in downtown! Really.. I don't know where to start. I do want to keep this journal going even just to...

Oct 6, 2010 - musings

Where does time go? What is our conception of time anyways? Where does money go? What is money anyways? I currently am sitting inside a beautiful restaurant enjoying my vegetable soup with garlic bread. I have to come into town now to use the internet because for a few days now the internet has not been working in my "temporary space". All is perfect because I have been flowing in a kind of new schedule. I wake up at 7:10ish, get my butt out the door, either walk to the center or hop on a bus. Once in the center I find my way to the next...

Sep 30, 2010 - REMINDER. balance.

OK. I need to stay in balance. I am starting to move back into the direction of stability, clarity, and grounded strenth. Nothing happens on accident... and I can say I am eternally gratefull for the way things have been flowing in my life and the way things will always continue to flow effortlessly in and out of my experience. I am writing this note as a reminder to myself and who ever else needs it. BALANCE. Find my (your) balance. This means in one way; to be fully aware of what and how I am manifesting at every moment. Living in Mexico,...

Sep 26, 2010 - Energy of the woooombbb

I am writing this from a long, eventful, and possibly the most busy week yet. This past Friday and Saturday I performed in "Cuando Tenga Tiempo mi suicido" (when I had the time of my suicide") I was fortunate to have a beautiful solo/ duet.. where I could express how I love to move in the most authentic way possible. It is always incredible to hear what peoples reactions are, and how my dancing has moved them in one way or another. Quite interesting. So now we have a two day "break" and will start rehersal again on Wednesday, for what I...
