Mi Viaje a Cozumel

Feb 3, 2015 - Cozumel

Shouldn't admit it but I thought Cozumel was a city in Mexico. It's an island about a 45 minute boat ride from mainland Mexico. The waters are so deep no bridge can be built so everything and everyone must go by boat. As we approach the island we can see the port area and as usual it is filled with plenty of shops and restaurants. We make our way through customs to our tour bus for a trip to ruins, a beach and a trip around the island. The San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, believed to be originally called Tantun Cozamil (Flat Rock in Place of the...

Belize and Cozumel

Dec 2, 2014 - Cozumel, Mexico

At Cozumel, this was like our 4th time there, we got a cab and had him show us around. We took a tour of the beach, stoped for some beer, shoped for stuff and then before going back on the ship we were forced to drink more beer because it rained too hard to walk to the ship. Good visit. We are getting our "Iland" back.

HUFF STUFF

Jan 16, 2014 - Cozumel

Another short sail of 196 miles during the night took us to Cozumel and a new adventure. When Marilyn & I awoke that morning, the bright sunshine was peeking around the curtains at our sliding glass door. We opened the curtains, then went out on the balcony, where we were greeted by a beautiful view. I should mention here that we do have pictures for each day and I will be posting the pictures soon. That is a good thing because I lack the words to adequately describe the beauty of the places we have visited on this cruise. Cozumel was no...

Weather in Cozumel was warm and humid and, during the four weeks we were there, we only had a couple days of rain. Our vacation in Cozumel can be summed up in one word: relaxing. Ken spent the mornings reading while Joan painted. Ken finished 12 books and Joan completed 13 paintings (you can check out the paintings on...

Our first Port of Call was on the largest island in Mexico, Cozumel. It has become a cruise destination for many ... three ships in port today. Lots of activities to choose from ... we decided on a Mexican Cuisine Cooking Class (with unlimited drinks) ... pictures will document. Our instructor is a noted chef in the area ... who did a wonderful job along with lots of humor and good cooking tips. Appetizer, main course and dessert were made by each of the 20-25 people in the class. It was a hoot ... and a good learning experience for cooks...
