Hotel Lo Cosmico- an assortment of palapas right on the beach, we paid 200 pesos a night. Separate bathroom, no hot water in shower. Excellent staff, restaurant open during the day, great breakfast! Wifi in the restaurant area. Hotel Neptuno- Only one in town with air conditioning. Friendly staff. On the beach, restaurant with good food, but limited menu. We paid 500 pesos a night for top (3rd) floor with balcony and air conditioning. Clean, and bathrooms with shower (no hot water) in room. Intermittent Wifi in room. Zipolite...

Arrived in San Cristobal early this morning after a long overnight bus from Zipolite, where we have spent the past five days doing absolutely nothing except feasting, swimming, enjoying cheap margaritas and trying not to get fried in the stinking hot sun. Getting to Zipolite on Sunday, we found we had sadly missed a goa psy party on the Saturday, the remnants of which were still hanging round the beach. Wednesday February 18…10:15pm Had a better sleep tonight, and again woke up to see a beautiful sunrise out our back window. We had a few choices as to where to head from our lighthouse spot near Playa Entrega. We had heard from Bill and Bonnie that there are a few good free camping spots near Puerto Escondido about 100 kms north west of here. C'est sous une chaleur écrasante qu'on est arrivée à Zipolite playa. C'est une plage vraiement belle. Ce qui est bien c'est qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup de monde. Quand on regarde de la plage, les habitations, ne sont que des toits en feuilles de banane nommé paiella ou cabanas et ça fait en sorte que c'est comme être au milieu de nul part. Alors comme je vous disais, c'est tranquille c'est donc le lieu par excellence pour se faire bronzer tout nu! Je pourrais vous narer de trés belles scénes mais je vais me limiter à celles du monsieur à poil...

Ici, ce ne sont pas les mouettes ou les goelans qui plannent au dessus de l´ocean, ici ce sont les pelicans et les buses qui virevoltent et font des piques a toute vitesse pour attrapper les poisson qui sont un peu trop pres de la surface. C´est dans un hotel de cabane en feuille de palme qui domine toute la baie que nous logeons - Iris, Anna les 2 autrichiennes petillantes et moi - retour a mes amoures de vacances... le ciel etoile a travers la moustiquaire de la tente, le bruit du ressac, barbecue de poisson... un petit gout de mon...
