Feb 29, 2008 - Get out the Mexico map, we're on the move

Get out your maps of Mexico, we've done some traveling since my last posting. 2-20-08: We left El Cid Marina, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico in the late afternoon. We needed to leave late in order to arrive at Isla Isabela the next morning. It's NEVER a good idea to arrive at a strange anchorage at night. We were blessed by Mother Nature this night. It was the night of the full lunar eclipse. Talk about an awesome sight. DW was doing well, although she had to power us through the night due to lack of wind. She purred like a kitten all night...

Feb 23, 2008 - Isla Isabela

National Geographic did a special show on this island and called it a mini-Galapagos. So despite it's local reputation of being an anchor eater, we stopped for an afternoon. But when the wind came up from the South, we thought it might also be a boater eater, so we quickly hoisted anchor and continued the journey to Mazatlan. While we were there, we did see oogles of frigates, including the white ones, sea turtles and whales.
