Aug 18, 2011 - Cuernavaca 2

So I am soon to start my homeward journey. Tonight I am heading on the bus to Guadalajara. I have booked a room there for 3 nights. Once I get there I will start looking into cross border options and get home towards the end of this month. My back is feeling better and my allergies as well. I am fairly rested after doing almost nothing in Cuernavaca. Hopefully I will have more energy in Guadalajara.

Feb 6, 2010 - Oaxaca de Juarez to Cuernavaca, Morelos

Today I had a wonderful ride from Oaxaca de Juarez to Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos. I took Mex 190 as far as Azucar de Matramores, then headed west on Mex 160.These are outstanding roads for a motorcycle. Very good surfaces, light traffic, lots of curves and plenty of scenery. The day started out a little cool at a bout 12 deg.C but by the end of the day I had noted a high of 28 deg.C. As far as elevation, I started at about 5,500 feet and reaches highs of nearly 8,000 and lows of nearly 3,500. I traveled through dry scrub, badlands,...

Feb 8, 2008 - Cuernaveca and Taxco

Took a tour to Taxco today which is the place where silver is mined. We also went via Cuernaveca which was a place that even the Habsburg`s came to for holidays when they were the rulers of Spain and hence Mexico as well. Those Austrians got flipping everywhere eh! The current El Presidentie has a place there and many other famous writers and painters have had holiday homes there due to the excellent climate ie. boiling the whole time (felt like it to this wee white Scots boy anyways). Saw another cathedral ( getting bored of them yet?),...
