Today we drove up to San Sebastian de Oeste, a town we visited last year with Richard, my brother-in-law. It is such a delightful place we wanted to share it with Bob and Sue too. We left early and headed up the mountains, the weather report threatened rain at the end of the week, so we thought we would take advantage of the clear skies. We stopped at the small tequila factory to get a look at the main crop grown in the area; blue agave, which they make a very specific type of tequila from. Jan 12, 2009 - San Sebastian

Today we ventured up a wayside road we have been looking at for years. We headed off to a little town called San Sebastian, which is west of Puerto Vallarta. It was a long drive, about 2 ½ hours, so we left early and found our little back road fairly easily. The drive was beautiful and I think Richard really enjoyed the drive, although he says he never wants to drive here because he never sees the “topes” (speed bumps that seem to be everywhere).
