Linda and I spent yesterday pretty much sleeping. She came down with something like the flu, aches, stuffy head and low grade temp. I got little sleep during the night because she didn't. So we stayed home instead of going to see San Miguel. We started slow this morning to see how Linda felt. I made a trip across the road for water and fruit at the Mega store. As the day developed, we decide a ride would be good, so headed north to the area around Dolores Hidalgo, a center for pottery production. We first found a beautiful display facility...

Jan 20, 2008 - Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of Mexican Independence
Dolores Hidalgo, the name of the city, nicely covers the extent of what is of interest in this village: Dolores for the Grita de Dolores (Cry of Pain) that Hidalgo expressed on September 16th 1810 and Hidalgo for the independence hero's home.
