We left after lunch for our planned journey to San Juanico from Isla Coronados. The wind had a different idea! For the first three hours of our journey, we motor sailed in light winds out of the NE, which is somewhat unusual for this time of year. There was a NE swell on the beam, which was somewhat annoying. Jun 11, 2005 - Puerto Escondido to Isla Coronados

We left Puerto Escondido after a few more days of fun, including a pizza party which consisted of standing in the water eating pizza off of a floating dock. Yes, we cruisers do some odd things .... When we left, we hadn't yet decided where we were going. We decided shortly after exiting the bay to head north to Isla Coronados, since the wind indicated we would make good time on the 20 nautical mile or so journey. Jun 6, 2005 - Agua Verde to Puerto Escondido

We made the 5 hour journey from Agua Verde north to Puerto Escondido on June 6th. We motor sailed most of the way. Two other boats left Agua Verde at the same time we did (unplanned), and also went to Puerto Escondido. Much of the route involves chosing a route between various islands (Los Candeleros and others) and the Baja shore. We all three chose somewhat different routes, but ended up in the same place successfully. Puerto Escondido is considered to be one of the best ¨hurrican holes¨ in Baja.
