Feb 12, 2007 - Getting ready for company!

Feb. 12, 2007, Monday We will be leaving Mazatlán on March 4. The boat is staying here and Marcel and I are flying home to take care of some business. Our scheduled return is on April 1, 2007. We do have guests arriving before we leave. Marcel's wife, Kathleen, and a good friend, Marcia, are arriving next Sunday, Feb. 18, to experience a weeks worth of cruiser life. We will definitely have some stories and pictures because they will be here during Carnivál. Mazatlán has been rated as having the 3rd largest Carnivál or Mardi Gras only...

Dec 7, 2006 - Asuncion

We traveled yesterday from Turtle bay to Asuncion with some friends on three other boats. While making the crossing we were called on the VHF by a lady that lives here in Asuncion. She told us that they've been having mild to moderate earthquakes for two weeks. The town was evacuated for awhile, but most people have returned. While at anchor we could hear the loud booms and feel it thru the chain. What a wild time we're having huh? I'm in her living room now typing this on her computer, and a little anxious to get outside. I'll update again...

Jan 25, 2005 - Bahia Asuncion

Saturday January 22nd It was a quiet day in Turtle Bay. Overcast and cloudy but still great! We prepared the boat and decided to take off in the morning for Bahia Asuncion. Sunday January 23rd What a wonderful motorsail south to Bahia Asuncion. Calm seas, warm weather, we were in our T-shirts and the whales were out playing! It was a grand day. We decided to start the watermaker and get it working. However, as all boat things go, it would not produce water! So, we turned it off and continued our motorsail to Bahia Asuncion.
