Gunung Mulu is a World Heritage Site and National Park in Sarawak, Malaysia. The highlight of the park is the enormous limestone cave network and karst structures of the nearby mountains smothered in dense green equatorial rain forest. And rain it does, at least once a day. Don't leave home without your umbrella. The park is located in an isolated section of the jungle, and the only way in is by plane or two-day boat ride. Feb 21, 2006 - To Mulu National Park

Next day flew to the park over the jungle. Went on tours of 4 caves after 1 hour fast walk through thejungle. I could have been in NZ except for the copious amounts of sweat pouring off me. it was even hot in the cave The guide asked me why i had come here to see caves as he reckoned NZ Waitomo caves are the best in the world. Not the biggest but the best. One cave we went into was 169km long! Needless to say, I didn't see it all. Some of the caves had bats in the but we only saw a few but smelt many!
