SINGAPORE - Saturday 28th October - Tuesday 31st October (Day 1-4) Hoped for an uneventful 12 hour plane journey to Singapore which Gill had prepared for by swallowing a number of pills. However, had a bit of a false start when the truck pushing the plane backwards so it could taxi for takeoff got stuck in first gear. Oct 25, 2005 - Malaysia Peninsular - Johor Bahru

It was a very easy and cheap bus trip from Singapore into Malaysia mainland. We had already decided to head for the island of Borneo straight away before the monsoon season really kicked in, and had booked tickets to fly from 'JB' as they call it (everything seems to be shortened!) to 'KK' (Kota Kinabalu) on Air Asia for the following day. Oct 4, 2005 - Back in Singapore

Well here I am back in the big modern city of Singapore. I feel so far like a fish out of water. I have done the shopping, hung up the clothes, visited with my friends from Toronto Darlyne and Ian, and am as ready as I will ever be to go back to work. I even made a new friend while I was grocery shopping. She is relatively new here too, and her husband has gone off to work somewhere else.
