I visited my family's home village yesterday. It's in Northern Lebanon in the mountains between Beirut and Tripoli. It's a tiny village of about 1000 inhabitants. But let me step back. I had phoned Jeanette Abdallah, a relative, before I had left for Lebanon and told her that I would phone when I arrived in Lebanon. Due to my miscommunication, Jeanette had thought earlier than later and had phoned relatives in the States asking about me. At any rate, I phoned Jeanette on Monday asking if it would be okay if I came on Wednesday. She agreed....
