Last time we cruised to the Falmouth area we docked in Montego Bay. But the port was small and the ships of the Royal Caribbean fleet kept getting larger. The company made a sizable investment in creating new facilities in nearby Falmouth, which were more than capable of accommodating our ship and a sister ship berthed on the other side of the pier. Nov 24, 2006 - Glistening Waters
Today evening, we visited Oyster bay, an hour and half away from Montego Bay. Here, the cool waters from the Martha Brae River meet the warmer Caribbean Sea resulting in an environment conducive for bio-luminescent micro-organisms. As our boat went into the dark waters (and we sipped Rum punch), we could see blue flashes in the water as fish swam. The boat left a trace of blue light in its wake.
