Today we headed inland to the hill town of Caltagirone, famous for it's pottery. The big site in town is a long staircase lined with colorful mosaic tiles. We toured a studio where an artisan showed us how the ceramics are made. Afterwards, we toured the Villa Romana del Casale, an old Roman villa famous for it's mosaic floors, one of which is called the "Bikini girls" - a group of girls playing call and frolicking in bikini's.
