Jun 7, 2004 - Endings and Beginnings

Dear Friends, We don't know where to start so we will start with the fact that we are now in Italy and taking a well deserved rest from the rigors of traveling in the Middle East. Not only do we have hot showers, clean tiled floors, a beautiful view, peace and quiet, friendly people who speak to us, wonderful shops, we also have the satisfaction of knowing we made it. So whoever you are and whatever you think you can't do, forget that line of thinking. Anything is possible. We have snorkeled in the Red Sea, bumped along on the backs of...

Kandie's Pilgrimage

May 20, 2004 - Taormina

Today we flew over to the Island of Sicily and pleasantly arrived in the towering town of Taormina. We extended our stay and have been spoiling ourselves with a some poolside siestas! Must go try Rhett's first Cannoli!

He took us around town, bought us coffee and will take us...

Well back in Sept. of 2000, we climbed this mountain called Piz Buin near Tina's village in the Eastern Alps of Switzerland. What she didn't know about was the surprise I was carrying in my pocket! As you know, she said "Yes", and this wild goose-chase for a Visa for Tina, a college degree for me, and life together began. Here we are almost four years later, and the Visa is in hand, I'm three years into the degree, and the wedding is planned for May 29th, 2004. We want to say "Thank You" to all our friends and family who supported us along...
