Sep 30, 2012 - Sperlonga, half way between Rome & Naples

Friday, September 28, 2012 Sperlonga, an hour (?) north of Naples At last, a lovely beach town where there are few tourists. Our hotel has faded elegance, and is half-filled with a well-heeled group Italians and a few French and Germans. From our balcony, we look out on a fortress on the point and apartments one on top of the other climbing up the cliff. Along the beach are neat rows of umbrellas and lounge chairs, the private property of whichever hotel or beach club they sit in front of. John woke up weak, but better. At least for now....

         September 29, 2012@23:19 The Adventures or Mis Adventures of "Don Giovanni Quixote & Morine Santo Panza !!! Well here we are.  First off Maureen's Blogs to you are all the dreams that people see!  Reality of the the adventure with the hundreds and more of tourists is a very different story.  Even Maureen is tired of all the hundreds of tourists we had to deal with.  BEAUTIFUL yes but there are just so many old buildings built in 1350 or 15-whatever to aah over.  AAAHH!  The cobbled streets.  If you didn't have bad ankles  when you...
