Our last full day in Tuscany.... -------- Slept in and then picked up a few final gifts this morning in Radda. Early afternoon departure from Radda over to the Castle Broglio. -------- Castle Broglio is a Tuscan estate that was a key fortress in the medieval battles between Siena and Florence. Hard to believe, but did you know that the Country of Italy is younger than the US? It was not formed as a Country until 1861. Sep 22, 2013 - Castello Delle Serre

This morning we take another walk into Cortona for last looks at the beautiful scenery and walk through the park that is at the center of town. We are told that the house where under the Tuscan Sun was filmed is along the walkway to the park but we don't spend any time looking for it. May 17, 2009 - Our First Hike Through Chianti in Tuscany

Breakfast was on the villa terrace, overlooking the valley and hillsides of vineyards and olive groves, and toward the village of Castellina on the horizon before us. At nine o'clock our first hike began at a little country church nestled in the Tuscan landscape. We set out down a not well trodden path which made its way through dense deciduous forests of oak, chestnuts, and ....
