Well, here i am in barcelona, spain. we left (my friend eric, a engineering student from uc irvine) siena yesterday at around 9pm heading off to the pisa airport. we planned to sleep inside the airport because our flight to gerona was scheduled to depart at 7am. the pisa airport is small and very pretty but they do not allow you to sleep inside so we ended up sort of sleeping outside the airport with a whole bunch of other people. we met a guy from new york, some girls from spain and a french family. we were all taking early flights. of...Jump to full entry
Dec 13, 2004 - On a Course???
Sometimes I think things are going too well out here! From 13-17 Dec I was sent to Latina, Italy (40 miles south of Rome) to the Nato CIS School to take a course. What a rough life I lead! It was a great course and I defintely learned a lot. I'm hoping it will come in useful back in Canada as well. The instructor (Howard) took several of us out for dinner as well (picture above) as Latina is quite small and he knows all the best places to go. Jun 29, 2004 - Messina
I visited Messina for the day in the hope of seeing the famous Monastary leveled by allied bombs in world war two. Alas! Without a car there is no way up there apart from an infrequent bus service which I missed. The archeology was wonderful though, all the more enjoyable for being the only visitor.Jump to full entry
