May 31, 2012 - From San Bartolomeo to Iseo (May 20-27)

So once the weather calmed down  in San Bartolomeo I took off to Genova. It was a cool ride and I had my first exchanges with some Italians. Some people came up to me and talked to me and I talked back with a mix of english, french, spanish and a little Italian. Some how I was able to have conversations with people and I have to say that Italians are really easy to talk to. I also had people waving at me, honking at me, clapping for me, giving me the thumbs up and yelling " Bravo" and " bellissimo". I even had a few people stop me to send...

Jun 16, 2006 - Zone Pyramide and Isole Iseo

This day we head down the valley, first to see the "Pyramids" at Zone Pyramide. Here, high in the valley, huge glacially etched boulders remain perched on tall thin sediment columns, forming an incredible sight. Then we catch the ferry across Lake Iseo to the largesk Italian lake island. We walk and enjoy the lack of cars, but are constantly buzzed by boys on scooters.
