Sunday we decided to walk the steps down to the Furore Fjord from our hotel. This fjord is a narrow gorge cut into the cliffs with a small beach from which the village gets its name. We took the steps one at a time. We took a lot of steps. It took us over two hours to make the trip down - 2,000 feet down. Sometime in the past they had put sewers in and covered then with stone steps, so you go down through the terraces, sometimes between houses, sometimes though barnyards, across roads, along cliffs and by churches.
