Saturday 11th April. Left Hotel Eden and took an early morning stroll to Portoverde past the enormous aquarium and admired the marina filled with beautiful boats and luxury apartments in gated complexes. Thought of Barry and Margaret. The whole coast is filling up with Easter weekend holiday makers and our sleepy Cattolica has changed its character to one of leisurely bustle. Apr 12, 2009 - Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Thursday 9th April. What a nice lazy day after a lovely meal in a local restaurant last night and as no driving a bottle of rosso! Three washing machines and a tumble dryer in the basement so we don’t smell anymore. A few walks, a few bits of shopping and back to the apartment and a salad before turning in. Friday 10th April. As this weekend is Easter we have decided to stay here until Monday as accommodation could be difficult. Apr 9, 2009 - All burnt out

Wednesday 8th April. Decided to head north and find a base that we could use for the Easter weekend as accommodation could be tricky. On the way stopped at Gubbio (another medieval hill top town!!!) which was quite stunning gleaming in the morning sun. The town hall was one of the most impressive, towering high above the rest of the town and like the rest of the town was spick and span and seemed to have just had a full spring clean.
