Sep 16, 2009 - Lake Maggiore Day 8

Today we went to Lake Como, and took a boat around the lake to view the beautiful villas (mansions). We saw Sylvester Stallone's, Saudi royal family, owner of Apple computer, and Mussolini's son-in-law and many more. It was rainy, so went back to Baveno to explore some, and made the best of the weather. Off to Venice early in the morning. Caio, caio, caio!

Sep 15, 2009 - Day 7 Lake Maggiore

Left Florence at 8am, stopping off at Pisa to see the Leaning Tower then on to Milan, the cosmopolitan, cultural, and fashion center of Italy. It is realy nice here but expensive. Then on to Lake Maggiore and the Grand Hotel Dino(the nicest hotel by far-this is classy) We have a balcony over looking the lake. Did I say it was nice? Luv ya, Stan and Connie

Sep 18, 2007 - Pisa to Italian Lakes

Long trip today. Addicted to Bufalino - panini with uffalo mozzarello, prosciutto and green salad - YUM!!! 5.30pm arrived baveno, Lake maggiore - lots of long tunnels to get here - BEAUTIFUL. Hotel Simplon - lovely room. Slept that night with open skylight windows under the stars - dinner in hotel - grand dining room - walked along the lake in the evening. FABULOUS PLACE
