The Druze population("The Children of Grace")is a sect which broke away from Ismailism, a branch of Islam. The tenents of their religion are kept a closely guarded secret among the top religious guys. The rest of the people consider themselves "the ignorant". They also believe that the Messiah will be born from a man, not sure who, so all the men wear baggy crotched pants to catch the baby when it comes. (We saw men wearing these pants). They support Israel because it allows them their religious freedom unlike any other Islamic countries....
