May 25, 2010 - We really have to go now - - we’ve met the Bill Armstrong of Ireland!

So as we reported, last night we had planned to return to the B&B and get some sleep because of our traveling all day tomorrow. HOWEVER, never makes plans in Ireland. We got back there and met Jerry as we were coming in the front door. He was hanging out with a couple of other guests. Jul 5, 2009 - July 4th weekend--BBQs, Malahide & Hurling

I am veryyy tired writing this tonight, after a successful Independence Day weekend! It being the first time I haven't actually been in the US for July 4th, I actually had a great time, even though it wasn't quite as patriotic as usual. We kicked off our several-day celebration of America by supporting the celebration of Canada on Canada Day, which was Wednesday. Sep 5, 2008 - A Wet & WIndy Day

We were wakened by a window banging back and forth in the wind this morning. Upon securing it, it was evident that the wind was accompanied by driving rain. We had breakfast and revised our plans, as a visit to a mansion which boasted of a great garden was not the best outing on a day such as this. We decided to go to Malahide Castle which had the advantage of being both close by and mainly indoors. We parked and walked in the pouring rain to the castle entrance, getting wet as we went.
