Aug 23, 2015 - Last Update Dalkey

This will be our last update from Dalkey. We love this awesome village and would definitely return. I am adding a few pictures of the area that didn’t make the other updates. We picked up the car today at the Dublin Airport and drove it back to Dalkey. Jerry did a good job of driving today, it was a bit scary but he did it. We will be driving down to a village near Wexford tomorrow. We have a cabin rented out in the country, we won’t have fast Wifi, I will update as soon as possible at one of the local Wifi spots if I can find one. If not,...

Aug 14, 2015 - The Village of Dalkey

We spent most of our day unpacking and getting set up for the next two weeks. We are really impressed with the apartment in Dalkey, Dublin. It is a few miles from the city center of Dublin. We were surprised to see we are in a most desirable location. Many notable people have lived and worked in Dalkey. John Dowland, the melancholy Elizabethan luthenist and composer, may have been born here. George Bernard Shaw lived in Torca Cottage on Dalkey Hill from 1866 to 1874. May 14, 2009 - Driving South

Rented a car in Dublin and are driving south. The right hand drive is a bit frightening to get used to. Drove to the coast and Visited the castle @Dalkey and watched the waves crash in, while intrepid swimmers dunked themselves into the frigid water! Onto Glendalough.
