Mar 30, 2005 - A Long Day on the Persian Gulf

The Thursday market in Minab is the most famous bazaar on the Persian Gulf coast. Minab is a small Bandari town about 100km east of Bandar-e Abbas, but on market day thousands of people converge to sell pirated CDs, dates, fish, jeans and stunning scarves and chadors. Planning to reach Bandar-e Lengeh and Kish by the end of the day, I set off early and soon found a savari (long distance shared taxi) for the trip from Bandar-e Abbas.
