WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, 2006. KUTA, BALI, INDONESIA. I have firmed up my travel plans for my remaining two weeks in Indonesia. Tonight I fly to Makassar, also known as Ujung Pandong, on the south end of the island of Sulawesi (northeast of Bali). From there I will make a nine hour bus ride to Rantepao, in an area called Tana Toraja, known for its unique architecture and funeral rituals.
