Hellooooo from the Gili Islands! We spent a few days wandering Kuala Lumpur, which I actaully very much like as a city. Much cleaner and more spacious than the other Asian cities I have visited. Hello everyone, We have to tell you all about Gili Trawangan AKA Gili T. Totally gorgeous and spell binding. The night time arrival was grim though. We arrived at the dock at dusk and boarded a longboat that seemed determined to roll over and capsize. The closest we came to actually rolling over was once the 40+ people were crammed on with at least 50 cases of beer (fair enough) and then luggage was tossed down into the passenger area only to be replaced with propane bottles. Today is Thanksgiving Day. And I get to spend it in paradise. How very very happy I am. And still so very grateful to be able to be where I'm at at this very moment in time. I start out for a walk on the esplanade and stop for a juice at EGO, where they have wifi. Ce matin nous retournerons vers midi a Sengigi, Sofi va bien mais le ventre est tres fragile. Nous n avions pas apporte medicaments avec nous...pas fort! En arrivant on comande un Club et des frites! Sofi fera une sieste car elle est fatiguee et la chaleur frappe. Je vais faire du snorkling et boire de la Bintang! Nous quittons pour Ubud demain, j ai devance notre vol et l hotel nous attend. Nous prenons un fast boat ce matin...direction tranlawagan pour plongee e passer deux jours sur l'ile . Bien aime ma plongee, beaucoup de courant...la visibilite est excellente, beaux coraux, beaucoup de poissons...pas d'oiseaux comme dit Sofi! J ai vu une enorme tortue que j'ai flatte a son passage tout pres de moi, murene, thon, snapper, etc. Nous allons par la suite a l hotel relaxer et ramasser des coquillages sur la plage. Sofi a un peu mal au ventre, mais rien de grave... Nous passons une tres belle journee a la fa niente...tres tres...

Jun 11, 2011 - Expédition aux îles Gillies en bateau

Nous louons un bateau traditionnel ce matin avec capitaine...super cool..ca reseemble a une araignee d eau. Nous faisons 1 heure vers les Gillies, 3 petites iles paradisiaques ...meno, air et tranwalagam. On ns debarque a la plus grande tranl. Ounous partons a velo...prend environ 1 heure faire le tour...ouf que c chaud! Je n avais jamais vu de si belles couleurs en mer...bleu tellement fonce, un vert turquoise et emerude...c a faire rever. Le bat ici est HYPER mellow...chill, Sofi et moi aimons et nous reservons une chambre pourdemain soir...

May 14, 2011 - Gili Islands

We had an early start again! All hung over we climbed a bus that took us to our ferry to go to gili islands! when we arrived we arranged a room, had some food and than went straight to beach! I slept there for an hour! than I went to see the diving schools and made my choice! diving class will start tomorrow! Nov 10, 2010 - never try never know

That is a little saying here on the island that I love. Yesterday was a great last day on the island. Sam and I enjoyed the sun and then went snorkeling in the afternoon. It was amazing! We saw so many kinds of fish, coral, and even a jellyfish! The best part was when we saw a sea turtle swimming by, it was so exciting to see one and just made me think of the turtle dudes in Finding Nemo. Anyways, today we leave Gili T and head back to Bali. We have a flight tonight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The plan is to spend the night there and then...
