Dec 10, 2017 - Last night at Jim Corbett Park

Today was the first time in 15 years of driving that our driver was invited inside a restaurant to eat with his customers. Needless to say, he did as we instructed and joined us but was very apprehensive, and took a selfie with us at the table. The boys were still on a chicken kick, and Abi is Hindu, so only ate a veg sandwich, some veg soup, and some veg chop suey. He left very quickly. Dec 9, 2017 - Last day at Jim Corbett Park

Full on head cold for me now! Not fun. Sleep deprived so took a NyQuil from the bottom of my bag at 3:40 am knowing our wake-up call was coming at 5:15. Off on another safari, this time to the Durga Devi area, in the cold, and dark, over rutted roads in a semi-conscious state. En route we saw more Sambar deer, lots of barking deer, and although it was pitch black we could see huge trees swaying and hear branches being broken by some elephants. Dec 8, 2017 - Paw prints and poop

Our day yesterday was hard, being jostled about for a long time, with our non-English speaking driver who was always obsequiesingly agreeing and not understanding, comprehending, or following through on our questions or requests. He was a safe driver, but did not really know the shortest route, nor would he stop for many miles for bathroom breaks, and no food stops. After leaving at 9 am from Agra, we got him to stop at 3:30 pm at a roadside vendor so we could buy peanuts and bananas - both peal able and therefor somewhat safe to eat. We...
