Der laengste Stadtstrand der Welt (der Chennai's) erstreckt sich suedlich bis ins angenehm ruhige, schoen gelegene Mahabalipuram. Leider laedt der -von Natur aus schoene- Strand nicht grad zum Baden ein. Dies liegt nicht nur an den Hohen Wellen und der starken Unterstroemung. Mahabelipuram's Stadtregierung startete am 10. Februar eine lobenswerte Anti-Muell-Initiative, fuer welche sie zum Zeitpunkt unsres Besuches stark die Werbetrommel ruehrte. I'm including pictures of the lunch at Senthil's home. The food was fantastic, they thankfully drink filtered water and it felt so nice to be in a home rather than a hotel. Although, I had a confusing moment when they asked me whether I know how to eat a drumstick. I said yes. Then they brought out a vegetable. I guess 'drumstick' has a different meaning here. Finally - the coming together of a space in time, a computer and me.
